Most of us want Samaria and the ends of the earth because Jerusalem is awkward. Jerusalem is the family table. The job. The group chat. The neighbour whose name you keep forgetting. Witness sounds romantic until it has a face you already know.
Jesus did not say, “When you finally move, then you can represent Me.” He named the near places first. Power for witness is not a personality transplant. It is the Spirit of God making ordinary people able to tell the truth about Jesus where they already stand.
An Agent of the Gospel is not someone who escaped their life. It is someone entrusted with good news who carries it into the life they have. Kitchens. Shifts. Sidewalks. The person you keep walking past. That is the field. Not a future platform. The room.
Colossians 3 says whatever you do, work heartily as for the Lord. That includes the unglamorous hour. The email. The meal. The honest conversation. Seeking first the Kingdom does not always mean quitting your job for a microphone. Sometimes it means the microphone was never the point.
I am building in public from Hamilton, not because this city is a brand accessory, but because this is where my feet are. The assignment is local before it is legendary. If we cannot love the near, we will only perform the far.
Look up today. Someone in your actual radius needs courage, a meal, a text that is not a meme, a person who will not make them a project. Carry the good news there. You were already sent. You just have to enter the room you are already in.
