It has been a week since entry 001. In that week I made the site one job, wrote the rules while they still cost nothing, published a from-zero blueprint, and shipped an impact scorecard that anyone can use without an account. Those are real deliveries. They sit on the delivery line.
They do not sit on the impact line. The scorecard still reads zero verified lives changed. Shipping a measurement tool does not mint a result. If I collapsed those two, I would be doing the thing the ladder was built to prevent: renaming activity as lives.
That is the useful part of a quiet week with a lot of shipping. The temptation is to treat the new pages as proof the mission is working. They are proof the record is working. The mission is still at the bottom of the climb.
What I will do next is use the things I just built. Keep the log honest. Run the scorecard on SIX33 in public so the zeros stay visible. Let the blueprint tell me what not to start. Send an email when there is something real to report — not when I feel behind for having only tools.
If you are also at week one of something, take the distinction with you. You can ship the operating system and still be at zero on the thing it measures. Log both. Then go do the next actual hour of work.
