We live in an age that cannot tell the difference between prayer and content. A caption. A verse graphic. A public fast that is really a brand. Jesus was not impressed. In the same chapter as seek first, He told people to shut the door.

Secret prayer is not shame. It is sequence. Before the Kingdom can reorder a life, someone has to actually talk to the King without an audience. The Father who sees in secret is not missing your hidden hour. He is the only one it was for.

That is why anxiety loves the feed. The feed never shuts the door. It keeps you performing a spiritual life you have not entered. Seek first begins in a room with no ranking — a walk, a parked car, a kitchen before the house wakes. Stay sharp enough to notice when prayer became a post.

Agents of the Gospel are not people with better captions. They are people who carry good news because they have been with Jesus. The sending in John 20 comes after peace. The peace in Matthew 6 comes after a closed door. You cannot skip the door and still call the platform formation.

If you do not know what to say, take the chapter itself. Our Father. Daily bread. Forgive. Deliver. Then sit. Then go do the next faithful thing in the room you already have. Hamilton. The shift. The person you keep walking past. Prayer is not the opposite of mission. It is how mission stays clean.

Shut the door today. Not forever. Long enough to remember you have a Father. Then open it and live like someone who was actually heard. The video ends. The conversation with God does not.
